Background
Network Places was recently hived off from Easy Computers, a Yorkshire based business that has grown, since its incorporation in 2001, to a turnover of £50m selling hardware over the web. In 2005 the network support and software development activities of Easy were transferred to Network Places with the objective of creating a specialist company focussing on the delivery of these services to the SME market.
Aims
Our aim is to provide a high quality service to customers who want the flexibility of dealing with a smaller company that really understands their needs.
We strive to:
- Demystify jargon
- Provide high performance, cost effective solutions to all our customers
- Outperform customers' expectations
- Be friendly and flexible
- Use industry standard products and techniques as part of our service
Who are our customers?
Our customer base ranges from small companies, in a variety of businesses, who might use four to five PCs, to private hospitals and larger multi-site PLCs.
While there is no such thing as a truly typical customer most of our clients will satisfy one or more of the following:
- I understand that technology may be able to help improve the performance of my business but I do not have the neccessary in-house skills to make things happen
- I need someone I can rely on to give me sensible advice on IT
- I am going through a period of growth and internal systems need to be enhanced to deal with higher volumes of traffic.
- I am looking to automate processes to achieve cost savings
- I am looking to build a relationship with a company who will take away the headache of IT support.
